Rare 1890’s Provincial Victorian Horsehair Hair Antique Scottish Sporran. Wonderful rare provincial hair sporran made in Perth with heavy thistle and eagle crest cantle. Two horse hair tassels with thistle cones and back stamped with the makers name . Made by saddler and sporran maker to the 42nd Royal Highlanders The Black Watch – William Cattanach 24 Caledonian Rd, Perth. In good used antique condition with a vintage back repair to add new leather sporran hanging loops.
Small back pocket.

The same style is currently worn by his grandson Simon Christopher Joseph Fraser, 16th Lord Lovat and 5th Baron Lovat (born 13 February 1977) has been the chief of Clan Fraser of Lovat since the death of his grandfather in 1995.

Period style classic wool worsted hose garter flashes to coordinate with your socks. Supplied with an elastic easy kilt garter for easy wear but based on period self tied version as worn by Pipe Major John MacDonald whilst serving in the Crimean War in 1854. Hand made for that correct period look required by re-enactors and traditionalists.
This Worsted Herringbone tape has a herringbone design which is a 1 ½ V across the tape that is manufactured in the UK to UK military standards. Correct period look required by re-enactors and traditionalists.

The Hamilton chiefs descend from Walter fitz Gilbert of Hambledon who appears in a charter to the Monastery of Paisley in about 1294. His lands appear to have originally been in Renfrewshire, however, his support for Robert the Bruce rewarded him with lands in Lanarkshire and the Lothians These lands included Cadzow, which later became the town of Hamilton, South Lanarkshire.
Including Agate jewellery, Scottish hallmarked sterling silver, vintage glengarry badges, plaid brooches, kilt pins and bracelets. With jewellery from classic Edinburgh and Glasgow makers like Robert Allison and Thomas Kerr Ebbutt and provincial Scottish silversmiths.

There are two main branches of the clan: the MacLeods of Harris and Dunvegan, whose chief is MacLeod of MacLeod, are known in Gaelic as Sìol Tormoid ( “seed of Tormod”); the Clan MacLeod of Lewis and Raasay, whose chief is Macleod of The Lewes (Scottish Gaelic: Mac Ghille Chaluim), are known in Gaelic as Sìol Torcaill (“seed of Torcall”). Both branches claim descent from Leòd, who lived in the 13th century.
